Q: Does Open Table Communities have statements of belief?
A: Nope! We consider spiritual health to be expressed in movement and growth. This means that we celebrate an evolving faith that puts greater emphasis on trusting God rather than believing all the right things about God. It's important to talk about beliefs within the context of generous space environments as it pertains to genuine lived experience. We have a posture towards the Biblical text which respects it as part of a journey of faith, yet recognizes the greater gift of learning to trust God and become a person of love as we see in the life, message and ministry of Jesus.

Although we do not have stated beliefs that a person must adhere to in order to be part of Open Table communities, we do have a culture statement which speaks to our values and who we are becoming in the world.
